Naturopathy seeks the cause of imbalances in a wholistic system
Naturopathy focuses on the wellness of all systems and provides support for the body to heal using natural plant / food source products for restoring the body’s vitality and harmony and prevention of disease. When needed, medicinal properties of herbs and plants are extracted and administered internally and externally. Alternative modalities of various nature are incorporated to provide the best options of maintaining good health.
The Greek “Father of Medicine”, Hippocrates, is acknowledge as the first advocate of naturopathic medicine and is considered one of the most distinguished figures in the history of western medicine. Dr Bernard Jensen is also highly respected and his contribution to keeping the colon and body clean together with better diagnosing of bodily functions and weaknesses through Iridology have been a big part of Naturopathic studies.
Initially the healing properties of nature were the core basis for restoring health.
In today’s world where synthetic vitamins and pharmaceutical drugs are used to suppress symptoms and put an extra burden on mental and bodily functions, most people struggle to live a healthy life. With the added onslaught of toxic chemicals in our food source and personal care products, polluted air and electronic frequencies causing serious disruption on cell communication and function together with a sedentary and high stress modern living regime – there is a new fear further debilitating our health – increase of life threatening diseases.
Good health is possible and most diseases are preventable and your body is an instrument of miraculous abilities for healing and renewing. You are the caretaker of your body and if you do not look after it well – where are you going to live? Its your only true home that you take everywhere with you.
My views on good health are relatively simple –
– Keep the body clean inside and out. Eradicate as many toxic and chemical products from your home and daily use.
– Drink enough pristine water to clean your body from toxins.
– Eat good quality food to provide nutrition and fuel that your body needs. A diet that is right for you, your body type, what best nourishes you, is the best diet to follow.
– Supplement with only the highest quality nutritionals to provide what we are lacking in our food source and to prevent diseases. (http://a2h.mysisel.com)
– Sleep 7-8 hours a night so the body can heal and regenerate.
– Stretch and exercise daily to maintain strength, muscle tone and range of motion.
– Applying emotional wisdom with mental clarity and purpose to each day.
– Live each day with inspiration and gratitude.
